Job description

  • We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support Electric Distribution operations across Colorado.
  • This position will play an important role in transforming operational data into meaningful reporting, scorecards, dashboards, and insights that enable leadership to monitor performance and make informed business decisions.
  • The Data Analyst will work with data from multiple sources to develop and maintain scorecards, graphs, trend reporting, and other analytics solutions.
  • The role will also help modernize reporting through Power BI, reporting automation, and support of Databricks/Lakehouse initiatives.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on analyst who enjoys working directly with business leaders, investigating performance trends, improving reporting processes, and developing data visualization solutions., * Gather, consolidate, analyze, and validate data from multiple sources to support operational and leadership reporting.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance scorecards, graphs, trend reports, and other performance reporting tools.
  • Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and interactive data visualizations.
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting processes and improve reporting efficiency.
  • Support Databricks and Lakehouse initiatives, including identifying effective ways to access, refine, validate, and update data.
  • Respond to leadership requests for data, reporting, and KPI analysis.
  • Analyze factors contributing to KPI and performance results and translate findings into meaningful insights.
  • Consolidate data and information for weekly and quarterly performance reporting and rollups.
  • Develop new visualizations, interactive scorecards, and reporting tools to improve leadership visibility into operational performance.
  • Support multiple scorecard and visualization projects across the organization.
  • Participate in weekly scorecard reviews and bi-weekly leadership action-planning meetings.
  • Partner closely with the Manager, Continuous Improvement Leader, and other leadership stakeholders across Electric Distribution operations.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing data and producing reports, scorecards, graphs, or other performance-focused analytics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with business stakeholders and leadership to understand reporting requirements and translate data into actionable information.
  • Ability to manage multiple reporting, visualization, and analytics priorities in a collaborative environment., * Experience developing dashboards and visualizations using Power BI.
  • Experience working with Databricks and/or Lakehouse environments.
  • Previous experience within the utility industry.
  • Experience with Eco Online, Arcos, Utilimarc, or similar operational systems.
  • Experience developing automated reporting solutions and improving existing analytics processes.
