Job description
- Enforce electrical safety standards and LOTO procedures.
- Coordinate and monitor all project energization activities.
- Review energized work plans and verify proper PPE, barriers, and hazard controls.
- Conduct field audits and stop unsafe work when necessary.
- Support commissioning, startup, and system turnover activities.
- Maintain energization logs, one-line diagrams, and system documentation.
- Assist with MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Lead electrical safety meetings, toolbox talks, and subcontractor coordination.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in mission-critical construction, electrical safety, commissioning, or industrial electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, including switchgear, UPS, generators, transformers, bus duct, and MV/LV distribution.
- Experience with LOTO, energized work planning, and interpreting one-line diagrams.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
Preferred:
- Journeyman Electrician license OR equivalent experience.
- OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E certifications.
- NETA, CET, or commissioning certifications.
- Experience on hyperscale data center or other mission-critical projects.
- CPR/First Aid certification., * Energy Marshal: 5 years (Preferred)
- Data center: 3 years (Preferred)
- Commercial/ Industrial Electrician: 5 years (Preferred)
