Biopharmaceutical Data Scientist - LIMS & CMC Analytics

Operating flexibly from Waltham, MA, Chicago, IL, or fully Remote, this 6-month contract role focuses on analytical data management, trending, visualization, and authoring audit-ready technical documentation to propel clinical advancements and regulatory submissions.

responsibilities:

• Access, extract, and reconcile analytical data across multiple LIMS, databases, and internal/external testing laboratories.
• Consolidate complex analytical results into standardized reporting formats, ensuring complete data accuracy and traceability.
• Build trend reports, data packages, visualizations, and interactive dashboards for Analytical Leads to evaluate product development and stability.
• Author and revise clear technical reports, memoranda, and Summary of Analytical Results (SARs) within strict quality frameworks.
• Maintain central data repositories and actively identify and resolve data gaps across development programs.

qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology, Engineering, or related scientific discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated laboratory environments.
• Experience working with LIMS, electronic laboratory systems, or scientific databases.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
• Experience authoring technical reports, memos, or quality documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage large datasets and multiple concurrent deliverables.

Experience Level:

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotech, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or regulated laboratory environment.
• Hands-on experience working with LIMS, electronic laboratory systems, or scientific databases.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
• Proven background authoring structured technical reports, memos, or quality documentation.
