Senior Backend Assembly Engineer

• Lead or support engineering activities related to backend semiconductor assembly processes.
• Evaluate assembly feasibility for customer designs in collaboration with customers, design teams, and substrate vendors.
• Provide technical guidance on flip chip, wire bond, and SMT assembly technologies.
• Support product development, design optimization, manufacturing readiness, and production quoting activities.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, sales, and operations.
• Assist with customer-facing technical discussions, design reviews, and project updates.
• Drive process improvements and resolve engineering challenges impacting product performance and manufacturability.
• Monitor project schedules, metrics, and deliverables to support business objectives.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership where applicable.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in backend assembly, manufacturing engineering, or related technical environments.
• Strong experience with flip chip, wire bond, and SMT assembly processes.
• 8+ years of backend assembly engineering experience.
• Prior engineering leadership or people management experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chain operations.
• Experience supporting global teams and customers.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese is a plus.
• Experience in technical sales support, customer engagement, or business development activities., * Bachelor’s (Required)

Experience:
