Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Mechanical knowledge?, Do you have a BTEC?, * Currently undertaking a relevant placement year, or recently completed A-Levels, BTEC, T-Level, apprenticeship or degree in a STEM-related subject (e.g. IT, Networking, Engineering, Computer Science or similar).

  • Demonstrable interest in technology, networking, electronics or hardware (through study, hobbies, or personal projects).

Desirable

  • Experience working with networking equipment, electronics kits, or Raspberry Pi/Arduino-type devices.
  • Experience gained through coursework, placements, or personal technical projects.
  1. Technical & Practical Skills

Essential

  • Strong interest in networking technologies, wireless systems, and connected devices.
  • Ability to learn how to configure wireless routers, network devices, and associated hardware.
  • Basic understanding of IP networking concepts (IP addresses, Wi-Fi networks, routers).
  • Ability to read technical documentation and follow structured setup instructions.
  • Competent IT user with good general computer skills.
  • Comfortable using hand tools and carrying out practical installation work.

Desirable

  • Experience configuring Wi-Fi routers or networking equipment.
  • Basic web development skills (HTML/CSS) to support captive portal or landing page development.
  • Interest in emerging technologies such as AI-enabled monitoring systems, cameras, and telemetry.
  • Experience writing technical instructions or documentation.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting connectivity issues., * Strong curiosity about how systems work and willingness to experiment, test and learn new technologies.
  • Able to independently explore features and resolve technical challenges.

Problem Solving

  • Logical thinker with the ability to diagnose and fix issues methodically.

Communication Skills

  • Able to communicate technical information clearly to colleagues.
  • Comfortable communicating via email and messaging systems with international suppliers.

Attention to Detail

  • Ability to follow technical procedures accurately and safely.
  • Strong focus on documentation and repeatable processes.

Flexibility & Team Support

  • Willing to support different areas of the business as required.
  • Positive, “can-do” attitude towards varied tasks., * Ability to commute reliably to the company’s Bradford site.
  • Comfortable working in workshop and vehicle environments.
  • Physically capable of installing equipment within buses, including working in confined spaces and climbing steps/ladders where required.
  • Willingness to assist with general operational duties when required.

Desirable

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience working in workshop or mechanical environments.
