Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

As a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer, you will design, build and improve Azure PaaS environments that support modern application delivery. This is a hands-on senior engineering role within a platform engineering function, giving you influence across cloud architecture, DevOps, security, automation and engineering standards.

You will work closely with software engineering, security, service management and architecture teams to deliver reliable cloud-native platforms. The role suits someone who enjoys solving complex Azure challenges, setting best practice and mentoring engineers while remaining close to technical delivery., * Design Azure PaaS architecture across secure cloud environments.

• Build platforms using App Services, Functions and Container Apps.
• Automate cloud infrastructure with Bicep, ARM and Azure tooling.
• Improve governance, security, RBAC and Azure Policy standards.
• Advise engineering teams on DevOps and cloud adoption.
• Mentor engineers and raise platform engineering capability.

Do you have experience in PaaS?, * Strong commercial experience designing and supporting Microsoft Azure cloud environments.

• Deep expertise across Azure PaaS services including App Services, Azure Functions and Container Apps.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Bicep and ARM templates.
• Experience implementing cloud governance, security controls and Azure Policy.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity management and RBAC.
• Experience working within DevOps environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud monitoring, observability and operational best practices.
• Experience collaborating with software engineering, architecture and security teams.
• Ability to mentor engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
