Job description

We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about data analysis and business intelligence to develop their skills within a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting data-driven decision-making processes, creating visualisations, and assisting with database management. This position is paid and ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to expand their expertise in data analytics., * Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analysing large datasets using tools such as SQL, R, and Python.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and visualisations using Tableau and Power BI to support business insights.
  • Support project management activities related to data projects, ensuring timely delivery in accordance with SDLC principles.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to database design, optimisation, and management using Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and VBA.
  • Write scripts in Bash (Unix shell) for automation tasks to improve data processing efficiency.
  • Document processes and workflows using Visio and other documentation tools.
  • Participate in analysis of business needs and assist in developing strategies for process improvements.

Requirements

Do you have experience in SQL?, * Proven experience or strong familiarity with SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI, and database management systems such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.

  • Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets accurately.
  • Experience with business analysis, database design, and process documentation tools like Visio is desirable.
  • Familiarity with VBA scripting and Bash (Unix shell) scripting is advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams and present findings clearly.
  • A degree or relevant qualification in Data Science, Business Analytics or a related field is preferred. This role provides an exciting platform for aspiring data analysts eager to develop their technical expertise while contributing meaningfully to organisational success.
