Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our innovative team. In this role, you will harness your analytical expertise to transform complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. This paid position offers a chance to work at the forefront of data-driven solutions within a collaborative and energetic environment., * Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using tools such as SQL, R, Python, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports utilizing Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other visualization platforms to communicate findings effectively across teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications for data solutions.
  • Design and optimize database structures using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and database design principles to support efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Conduct business analysis by identifying trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Support project management activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring timely delivery of analytics projects.
  • Utilize scripting languages such as VBA, Bash (Unix shell), and Talend for automation tasks to streamline data workflows.
  • Engage in Linked Data initiatives by integrating disparate data sources for comprehensive analysis.
  • Document processes using Visio or similar tools to ensure clarity and reproducibility of analyses.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Tableau?, * Expertise in data visualization tools including Tableau, Power BI, and Looker.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL programming for querying relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Proficiency in R and Python for statistical analysis and advanced analytics tasks.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Talend for data integration projects.
  • Familiarity with database design principles and best practices in database management systems.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management techniques to facilitate collaborative project execution.
  • Knowledge of SDLC processes to manage analytics projects from conception through deployment.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive business analysis by translating data into meaningful insights.
  • Skills in automation scripting using VBA or Bash (Unix shell) to enhance efficiency in data workflows.
  • Experience working with Linked Data concepts for integrating diverse datasets across platforms.
