IT Engineer

Our client is looking for an IT Engineer to join their growing IT department in Ruabon. This is an excellent opportunity to provide IT support, maintain business-critical systems and work with a range of modern technologies while developing your career within a forward-thinking organisation.

The Role of an IT Engineer -

• Providing day-to-day IT support and system maintenance across the business.
• Managing Active Directory, Windows and Ubuntu servers.
• Supporting SQL Server and MySQL databases.
• Maintaining VMware and vSphere virtual environments.
• Supporting Microsoft Office 365 and Windows operating systems.
• Installing, configuring and maintaining software, hardware and network devices.
• Providing support for local and remote users.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and system records.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar IT role and will have the following skills:

• Experience with Active Directory, Windows Server and Office 365.
• Knowledge of SQL Server, MySQL and database management.
• Understanding of network infrastructure, switches, firewalls and security principles.
• Experience with VMware, virtual machines and backup solutions.
• Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint and GitHub.
• Experience with software installation, hardware support and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• HNC/HND or Degree in IT, Software Development or a related discipline.
