Job description
- Serve as the primary technical contact during production incidents and drive resolution from detection through restoration
- Troubleshoot Linux servers, IP networks, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, virtualization platforms, cloud infrastructure, clustered environments, and application connectivity
- Diagnose issues using logs, monitoring tools, packet captures, and command-line utilities
- Perform root cause analysis and coordinate internal teams, customers, and third-party providers during critical incidents
- Design, deploy, maintain, secure, and improve Linux, network, clustering, and cloud infrastructure
- Develop and maintain Bash/Python automation and technical documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Relevant certifications such as RHCE, CCNA/CCNP, JNCIS/JNCIP, Linux+, Security+, or cloud certifications are a plus
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting production Linux systems and IP networks
- Strong Linux administration experience, preferably with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Experience supporting highly available or clustered environments, including failover, replication, synchronization, and recovery
- Experience with incident response, change management, and customer-facing technical support
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, firewalls, NAT, VPNs, and network troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of Bash and/or Python
- Proficiency with troubleshooting tools such as tcpdump, Wireshark, system logs, and monitoring platforms
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Pacemaker/Corosync, Galera Cluster, SIP/RTP/VoIP, telecommunications environments, cloud platforms, virtualization, and observability tools
- Familiarity with diagnosing cluster communication, quorum, failover, fencing, and replication issues

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
