Senior Full-Stack Developer - Richmond, VA (Hybrid)

Build the primary user-facing BMP Warehouse experience and its supporting application services using DEQ’s target web stack. This role is deliberately full-stack so the team can move quickly between Vue workflows and .NET services without creating front-end/back-end handoff bottlenecks., * Develop Vue 3 + TypeScript components/pages for data intake, upload/template selection, staged review, record editing, administrative configuration, search/submission grids, inspection/lifecycle views, and provider-facing feedback.

• Implement accessible, maintainable UI patterns for large data grids, server-side filtering/sorting, AND/OR filters, saved searches, column preferences, validation messages, bulk selection/actions, and export initiation.
• Build/extend ASP.NET Core BFF and .NET Minimal API endpoints supporting UI workflows, authorization, validation orchestration, data access, and asynchronous jobs.
• Implement chunked/asynchronous upload UX with progress/status behavior and resilient retry/error presentation.
• Implement role- and organization-aware experiences consistent with DEQ identity claims and server-side authorization.
• Collaborate with the Data Lead to surface validation, duplicate, transformation, and submission status accurately without duplicating business rules in the UI.
• Develop admin CRUD experiences for BMP names, measures/units, code tables, mappings, localities, land-use codes, HUC references, and related configurable data.
• Implement direct in-application BMP entry in addition to spreadsheet workflows.
• Support export/download functionality including Excel/source-template/large-data patterns as finalized by DEQ.
• Write unit/component/integration tests; participate in peer review, defect resolution, performance tuning, demos, UAT support, and release hardening.

Experience: 7+ years in full-stack development; strong recent experience with Vue/TypeScript and ASP.NET Core, * 7+ years of professional full-stack web development.

• Strong recent Vue.js experience, ideally Vue 3 Composition API, plus TypeScript, modern JavaScript, HTML/CSS, component design, state management, and client-side testing.
• Strong ASP.NET Core / C# experience building RESTful services or BFF endpoints.
• Experience implementing complex enterprise forms, editable data grids, file uploads/downloads, bulk actions, validation feedback, and role-based UI behavior.
• Experience with SQL-backed enterprise applications and ability to collaborate effectively on data-intensive workflows.
• Experience with automated testing, Git-based code review, CI/CD, and troubleshooting across browser/API/database layers.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with high-volume asynchronous file ingestion.
• Experience with government/regulatory applications and complex data administration screens.
• Experience with Vue test frameworks and .NET integration testing.
• Experience integrating enterprise identity/OIDC and claims-based authorization.
