Information Technology Senior Consultant Lvl 5 BP

Provides senior-level Linux administration for VMware vSphere/VCF environments, including security patching, STIG compliance, TLS certificate renewals and Ansible automation. Also delivers Tier 1/2 support, helps design systems and mission architecture, and keeps SOPs current in Confluence., * Server and Hardware maintenance

• Knowledge of patching & updating Linux distributions regarding security findings.
• Renew Linux server certificates & applying updates to TLS security versions. Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring & problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, etc.
• Configure and manage Linux, and possibly Windows operating systems, installs/loads operating system software and patches to maintain security compliance, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability & performance.
• Support the design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware.
• Patching and updating Linux distributions regarding security findings.
• Adding / Removing users and setting permissions to meet certain user privileges.
• Working with STIGs and fixing/updating vulnerabilities with STE/STN findings
• Renew Linux server certificates and applying updates to TLS security versions.
• Working with automation software such as ANSIBLE to streamline updates and patching.
• Updating documentation such as SOPs with problems and solutions for the team’s knowledge base on Confluence.

• Senior level Linux Systems Administration experience is required
