Job description
As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Queue Management in Northampton, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you., * Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and maintain accurate access-related records.
- Control vehicle, driver, and delivery access in accordance with facility procedures, directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.

Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204) Candidates must be proficient in using computers or tablets for daily tasks. This includes navigating software applications, managing emails, and utilizing online platforms effectively.

Customer Service Experience (B219) Candidates should possess a background in customer service, demonstrating the ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues. This includes effective communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent service., * Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

How This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
