What You’ll Do

  • Develop embedded software using Embedded C for ARM Cortex-M platforms
  • Design and maintain bare-metal and RTOS-based firmware
  • Develop and optimize drivers for UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO, DMA, timers, and watchdogs
  • Create bootloaders, firmware update mechanisms, and low-power applications
  • Support wireless technologies including Z-Wave, mesh networking, and proprietary sub-GHz protocols
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers on system integration and product development
  • Debug and troubleshoot embedded systems using tools such as J-Link, SWD, and GDB
  • Support secure firmware development, OTA updates, and product reliability initiatives
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts

Requirements

  • Strong experience developing firmware in Embedded C
  • Experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers
  • Expertise with bare-metal and/or RTOS-based development
  • Experience with Z-Wave, mesh networking, sub-GHz wireless protocols, or low-power wireless sensor networks
  • Experience with interrupt-driven architectures and embedded peripherals
  • Experience developing bootloaders, firmware update systems, and low-power embedded applications
  • Hands-on debugging experience using J-Link, SWD, GDB, or similar tools
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Silicon Labs EFR32, Gecko SDK, Simplicity Studio, or Silicon Labs wireless stacks
  • Knowledge of secure boot, firmware signing, secure pairing, and encrypted OTA updates
  • Experience with modular firmware design, state machines, Git, CI/CD, and automated testing
  • Familiarity with RF concepts, EMC/EMI troubleshooting, and wireless certifications
  • Experience supporting smart home, HVAC, industrial, or connected IoT products

You should be proficient in:

  • ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers
  • Bare-metal
  • Bootloaders and firmware update systems
  • Embedded C
  • Experience with Silicon Labs
  • Mesh networking
  • OTA firmware updates
  • Proprietary sub-GHz protocols
