Job description

We are seeking a Computer Refresh Technician / Desktop Technician to support a computer and docking station refresh project. The role involves imaging, deploying, replacing, relocating, and upgrading computers and related hardware, as well as migrating user data. Detailed procedures and training will be provided. The technician will work as part of a team alongside a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Project Manager to ensure the successful completion of the refresh project. Key Responsibilities Image and deploy computers, docking stations, and related hardware. Replace, relocate, install, and upgrade computer equipment and peripherals. Migrate and transfer user data between systems. Troubleshoot computer hardware, peripherals, software, and connectivity issues. Assist with testing new and existing hardware and software. Provide technical support and assistance to end users. Maintain service records and document completed work. Follow information security policies and required software security controls. Access and transfer data between applicable databases and systems. Provide professional customer service and communicate effectively with users and team members. Manage multiple tasks, prioritize assignments, and meet project deadlines. Lift and relocate equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting computers, hardware, software, and peripherals. Knowledge of personal computers, computer components, printers, and related terminology. Experience installing, maintaining, replacing, relocating, and troubleshooting hardware and software. Working knowledge of Windows operating systems. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. WordPerfect experience as required by project requirements. Understanding of computer operations, information systems, hardware, software, and information security practices. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide professional customer service. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines. Ability to lift and relocate equipment weighing up to 30 lbs. Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
