Job description

As an IT Support Officer, you will provide first- and second-line technical support across a predominantly Microsoft Windows environment. You will play a key role in ensuring staff and users receive timely and effective assistance with a wide range of IT issues., * Deliver first- and second-line IT support to end users.

  • Provide support for hardware, software, audio-visual equipment, printers, and user accounts.
  • Manage and resolve incidents and standard service requests while maintaining high levels of customer service.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of departmental standards for end-user computing.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex software and system issues.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and support engineers to resolve technical problems.
  • Work closely with colleagues to support teaching technologies and audio-visual systems.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies relating to data security, data protection, and acceptable IT usage.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
