Job description
The IT Technician position provides technical support for key business operating systems and system users in a dynamic environment under the direction of the IT Administrator. The position’s responsibilities require excellent analyses, communication and problem solving with the goal of maximizing and improving both efficiency and guest and employee experiences, while supporting company values. Work requires initiative and time management. The IT Technician is responsible for providing IT related assistance, support, trouble shooting and maintenance for Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort’s computer software, hardware, applications, servers, and other IT related equipment. The position will also provide IT-related support, training, and assistance to the Dodge Ridge Staff. This position is a key member of the Dodge Ridge Team., This job description is intended as a summary of the primary responsibilities of and the qualifications for the position. - At the direction of the IT Administrator, assist with day-to-day operations, technology issues and other duties as assigned.
- Respond to support requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose to resolve technology issues as needed.
- Ensure the smooth operation of all aspects of IT systems.
- Maintain a tremendous level of organization and cleanliness.
- Prepare and maintain accurate IT related documentation.
Requirements
- Experience and high level of ability with computer hardware, Microsoft networking systems, wireless networking, servers, relevant software, internet software, and e-mail.
- CCNA certification and VMware experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to read technical manuals and to assist and communicate effectively with non-technical employees.
- Ability to learn new skills and become familiar with new systems and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, task-oriented environment and maximize use of time.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet the Motor Vehicle Record qualifications as outlined in the Fleet Safety Program.
- Must be at least 19 years old.
Benefits & conditions
Weather conditions and business levels play a large role in the work scheduling of Dodge Ridge employees. When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work between 32-40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time. Keep in mind that you will often be required to drive on hilly, snowpacked, and icy road surfaces., At any time during the ski season, Dodge Ridge employees are often required to perform their tasks in high winds, heavy snowfalls, low visibility, rain, and extremely cold or warm temperatures.
