Cable Technician - QTS Data Center, $25/HOUR!

Looking to start a career in the growing data center industry? We are hiring Cable Technicians to support the buildout of a large-scale data center in Cedar Rapids, IA. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals with construction, mechanical, assembly, or hands-on labor experience who want to develop specialized technical skills.

In this role, you will work with a team to install server racks, pull and dress fiber optic cable, mount hardware, and support the infrastructure that powers modern data centers. Training is provided, making this a great opportunity to gain experience in a high-demand field with strong growth potential., * Assemble and install server racks, trays, and related equipment.

• Pull, route, and secure fiber optic cable throughout the facility.
• Dress and organize cable to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
• Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
• Use hand and power tools to complete installations.
• Scan and track inventory and materials.
• Unpack, stage, and organize equipment and supplies.
• Install servers, switches, and other network infrastructure components.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Monday - Friday

7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• Five 10-hour shifts each week
• Occasional Saturday work available based on project needs
• Consistent hours with overtime opportunities

Work Environment

This position is performed on-site at an active data center construction project in Cedar Rapids, IA. Team members work in a fast-paced environment while following strict safety standards. Required PPE includes steel-toed boots, hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves.
