Job description
We are seeking an experienced Assistant IT Manager to support the technology operations of a full-service hotel. This position will assist with maintaining the hotel’s IT infrastructure, systems, networks, hardware, and technology platforms while providing hands-on technical support to hotel departments and team members.
The ideal candidate has previous hotel or hospitality IT experience and understands the importance of keeping guest-facing and operational systems running efficiently in a 24/7 environment.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with the daily management of hotel IT systems, networks, hardware, and software

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hotel departments and team members

Support hotel systems including PMS, POS, Wi-Fi, phone systems, key-card systems, and back-office applications

Troubleshoot computers, printers, mobile devices, network equipment, and other technology
-
Monitor network connectivity, system performance, and security
-
Assist with installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of hardware and software
-
Coordinate with third-party technology vendors and corporate IT teams

Maintain IT equipment inventory, documentation, licenses, and system records

Support cybersecurity, data protection, backups, and user-access procedures

Assist with onboarding and offboarding employee technology access

Respond promptly to technology issues affecting hotel operations or the guest experience

Assist the IT Manager with technology projects, system upgrades, and property initiatives
-
Provide support for hotel meetings, events, conference technology, and AV systems when needed
-
Participate in an on-call rotation or provide after-hours support when necessary
Requirements
2+ years of IT support or systems experience, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment
-
Previous experience with hotel technology systems strongly preferred
-
Familiarity with Opera/Opera Cloud, Micros/Simphony, property Wi-Fi, POS systems, PBX/VoIP, and key-card systems is a plus

Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking, hardware, and troubleshooting

Understanding of network infrastructure, switches, access points, and basic cybersecurity practices

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent communication and customer-service skills

Ability to prioritize multiple technical issues in a fast-paced environment

Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical team members
-
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; relevant experience and certifications will also be considered

The successful candidate will be a hands-on IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting and understands that technology is critical to both hotel operations and the guest experience. You should be comfortable working across multiple departments and able to respond quickly when technology issues arise.
