Cloud Platform Architect

This is a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to elevate cloud-native platforms, automation, and developer experience at scale., Define, design, and evolve enterprise cloud and Kubernetes platform architecture to support large-scale, modern application deployments.

• Establish and maintain scalable, secure, and repeatable deployment patterns and reference architectures across GCP, AWS, and internal Kubernetes platforms.
• Develop and enforce standards, guidelines, and governance frameworks for platform consistency, security, and compliance.
• Lead the adoption of cloud-native principles, infrastructure automation, and platform engineering best practices.
• Architect and operationalize multi-cluster Kubernetes environments, emphasizing GKE and/or EKS, with robust scalability, resiliency, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Design and implement service mesh strategies for secure, observable, and reliable service-to-service communication.
• Define and execute enterprise observability strategies, including metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting for proactive platform reliability.
• Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, and GitOps automation to streamline releases and reduce operational overhead.
• Mentor engineering teams and act as a subject matter expert for cloud platform architecture and Kubernetes ecosystems.
• Partner cross-functionally to drive platform modernization, continuous improvement, and developer enablement.

8+ years in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or systems architecture

• 3+ years designing and supporting enterprise Kubernetes platforms (expertise in GKE and/or EKS)
• Strong experience with GCP (preferred) and AWS cloud environments
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, service mesh infrastructure, and observability practices
• Advanced proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD, and automation tools
• Proven success architecting large-scale, cloud-native platforms and supporting enterprise modernization initiatives
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

• Extensive hands-on experience with GCP and AWS
• Proficiency with Kubernetes distributions: GKE, EKS, OpenShift, Rancher
• Experience with service mesh technologies: Istio, Linkerd, Consul
• Implementation of enterprise observability solutions: Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Splunk
• Experience in highly regulated or large-scale enterprise environments
• Cloud and Kubernetes certifications, Preferably someone with strong experience in both GCP and AWS environments but GCP is the most important Expert level with Kubernetes architecture and GKE and/or EKS Strong experience with service mesh infrastructure layers
