Data Cabling Engineer

Are you an experienced Data Cabling Engineer looking for your next opportunity?, * Cable Installation: Install, route, and dress Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A structured cabling in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

• Termination & Testing: Terminate cables to patch panels and outlets, and carry out full testing and certification using Fluke or equivalent test equipment.
• Client & Site Coordination: Liaise with site managers, clients, and other trades to ensure works are delivered on time and with minimal disruption.
• Technical Documentation: Complete accurate test records, as-built drawings, and handover documentation upon project completion.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure all installations adhere to ISO/IEC 11801, BS EN 50173, and relevant health and safety regulations.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Data Cabling Engineer within the structured cabling or telecoms industry.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A cabling, patch panel termination, and cable testing using Fluke or equivalent tools.
• Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record of delivering structured cabling installations across commercial, office, or enterprise environments.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently on site, and clear communication with clients and site teams.
• Mobility & Eligibility: Right to Work in the UK at the time of application.

Desirable:

• Certifications: CSCS card; manufacturer accreditation (e.g. Leviton, Commscope, Panduit); ECS card.
• Sector Background: Prior experience working on data centre, education, or healthcare cabling projects.
