Principal AI Transformation Lead

We are looking for Principal AI Transformation leads to run Resonance’s most ambitious client engagements and help transform some of the world’s leading businesses through AI. You will work at the AI frontier, own outcomes and lead a team of transformation leads and engineers, to drive a dramatic acceleration in productivity or a step change in revenue for our key clients.

What you’ll do

Lead the engagement

• Own key client relationships with C-suite leaders, PE sponsors and management teams
• Shape high quality, high velocity, AI engagements and work with a team of AI engineers and AI transformation leads to deliver impact

Rewire how businesses work

• Map how organisations run key processes, identify where AI fundamentally changes economics, and redesign core processes from first principles
• Build the business case for redesign, and develop the mechanisms to measure success
• Lead the change: new workflows, new roles and the people who have to adopt them

Grow the firm

• Coach and develop the transformation leads and engineers on your team
• Feed what you learn back into our products, platform and playbook, so every engagement is faster and higher quality than the last
• Help shape how Resonance hires, trains and works as one of our first leaders, * Lead many transformations, not one. Run several programmes a year across industries, with engineers building alongside you, and see each one change how a business runs
• Hard problems, real stakes. Core business processes where AI has to work, with real users from your first engagement
• Work at the frontier. Hands on with the newest models and tools the day they land, and we run our own firm on them too
• Work with the best. We hire the top 0.1%, to work alongside a founding team that has shipped 30+ AI products and driven $250m in AI impact

• You have consistently been amongst the very top performers of your peers in high-performing environments

Track record

• 8-14+ years in equivalent roles, including running client engagements or transformation programmes end to end
• You are likely an engagement manager or associate partner at a top-tier strategy firm, a VP or Director on a PE value creation team, an AI director, or an operator who has led a transformation from inside a business
• You’ve delivered measurable P&L impact through AI

AI fluency

• You use AI every day and you are hands on with the tools your teams use
• You have a deep technical understanding of AI - you know where to probe and challenge your engineering counterparts, and can speak the language of the CEO and CTO
• You’ve led work where technology changed how a business runs

Client leadership

• Senior executives trust you to own their most important outcomes
• You frame hard trade-offs clearly and tell clients what they need to hear
• You build teams people want to work on

Nice to have

• Experience in PE portfolio companies or value creation
• Operating experience inside software or services businesses
• German for Berlin roles. English is our working language
