Senior Software Engineer, Canvas Core

• Own and deliver new platform capabilities from concept to implementation
• Collaborate with Product and Design to enhance user experiences while managing technical delivery
• Design and build maintainable, high-quality systems with a focus on performance and reliability
• Contribute to developer-friendly APIs and service boundaries for internal teams
• Use AI-assisted tools to support efficient engineering practices from prototyping to measurement
• Mentor team members through technical design reviews and code assessments
• Improve systems with complex document structures and strong performance management

• Fluency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with React, Node.js, or similar frameworks
• 6+ years of experience building and shipping large-scale production software within an agile team
• Proven engineering judgment in designing scalable, reliable, high-performance systems and developer-facing abstractions
• Experience creating clean API contracts and maintaining service boundaries for long-term usability
• Background in building distributed, concurrent, or low-latency systems such as collaborative tools or messaging protocols
• Interest in and experience with AI-enabled features in production systems
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques, including profiling and latency reduction
