job summary: Join Our Client a global leader in advanced tech as a Technical Specialist to manage product classifications, safeguard trade operations, and drive international innovation on an industry-leading team! Requires Degree/equivalent + 1+ years in trade compliance required.
location: Park Row, Texas job type: Contract salary: $35 - 40 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors
responsibilities:
- Facilitate product classifications using Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) while ensuring strict compliance with U.S. and international trade laws.
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to support new product introductions, design changes, and overall compliance data integrity.
- Maintain and update trade compliance data within classification systems, upholding internal quality policies and procedures.
- Interface with technical and trade compliance experts to coordinate assessment approvals, mitigate regulatory risks, and streamline global logistics.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across trade compliance processes and assist with product environmental compliance activities such as REACH and RoHS regulations.
qualifications: Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Engineering, Logistics, or equivalent practical experience.
At least 1 year of experience in trade compliance, customs, or global logistics with working knowledge of import/export regulations, HTS classification, and country-of-origin rules.
Proficiency with ERP systems, compliance databases, and standard office software, along with strong analytical, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills.
