Job description

  • Creation and refinement of technical concepts, requirements and software architecture
  • Development, implementation and test of the simulators
  • Supporting technical reviews and support project milestone reviews
  • Coordination with customers and internal software teams for the design, for reviews and the timely delivery of simulators

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering or comparable qualification
  • Ideally previous experience as software architect/technical lead in larger software projects (e.g. automotive, aerospace, scientific computing or gaming)
  • Experience with distributed simulation frameworks (HLA), and with system-of-systems simulation is a plus
  • Experience with development and simulation of networks and communication systems and related protocols/technologies is a plus
  • Proficiency in modern C++ (or similar languages)
  • Experience with applicable NATO standards and processes, and/or knowledge of related process standards from adjacent fields (such as ECSS-E-ST-40C and ECSS-Q-ST-80C or DO-178C) would be an advantage
  • Strong competence in self-organizing and work planning
  • High motivation, pro-active working approach, and strong sense of responsibility
  • Strong competence in working in a multicultural team
  • Ability and willingness to achieve a German security clearance
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English
