Software Engineer

Job Summary: Senior Software Engineer - User Platform (Remote, India), Join Gartner’s dynamic User Platform (UPT) team as a Senior Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in transforming how clients securely access Gartner’s suite of platforms. You’ll architect and build innovative, secure solutions using industry-leading technologies and frameworks, directly impacting millions of users globally. Thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment that values continuous learning, autonomy, and technical excellence., Architect, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java Spring or similar J2EE frameworks

• Design, implement, and secure RESTful APIs/microservices for high-impact web applications
• Develop robust, responsive user interfaces using ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Apply authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth and SAML to drive secure access
• Write efficient SQL queries, manage data, and ensure high performance
• Collaborate in Agile/Kanban teams, contributing to sprint planning, code reviews, and best practices
• Create and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and deployment scripts
• Partner with technical leads to enhance and define software architecture
• Continuously explore and integrate new technologies and open-source solutions

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related engineering

• 6+ years of hands-on experience developing customer-facing web applications
• 5+ years of expertise with Java Spring or J2EE frameworks
• Strong understanding of authentication/authorization frameworks and security best practices
• Advanced knowledge of RESTful API development
• Experience with unit and end-to-end testing
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills

• Front-end development with ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), Kubernetes
• Passion for DevOps and continuous learning
