MMIS Mainframe Developer

SYSTEMTEC is seeking an MMIS Mainframe Developer for a remote opportunity working EST hours. Candidate will support enterprise mainframe applications by implementing code enhancements, troubleshooting production issues, and assisting with knowledge transfer initiatives within a complex legacy systems environment. This role involves collaboration with development, QA, and operational teams to maintain and improve mission-critical applications while supporting testing and ongoing production support activities., * Develop, modify, and maintain COBOL and CA-ADS applications in a mainframe environment

• Implement code changes utilizing IDMS Network and relational database technologies
• Perform debugging, unit testing, integration testing, and production support activities
• Support QA, user acceptance testing, and external testing efforts by resolving defects and implementing updates
• Create and maintain technical documentation related to system functionality, data flow, and application processes
• Participate in rotational on-call support and collaborate with cross-functional teams on production and enhancement initiatives

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe development environments
• 10+ years of experience with MVS COBOL programming
• 10+ years of experience writing and maintaining JCL
• 10+ years of experience working with IDMS/Network databases
• 10+ years of experience with DB2
• 7+ years of experience using CA-ADS
• 5+ years of experience with ChangeMan
• 5+ years of experience supporting CICS applications
• 5+ years of experience working with VSAM files and datasets

Preferred Skills/Experience of the MMIS Mainframe Developer:

• Experience with SAS and File-Aid
• Familiarity with MQ messaging technologies
• Experience using Endevor and Xpediter/Xpeditor
• Prior experience supporting Medicaid or Medicare claims processing systems
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and documentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
