Data Integration Engineer

We are seeking a talented, mission-minded Software Engineer to join our Integration Team supporting the Cybersecurity Infrastructure (CI) effort. In this crucial role, you will help defend our nation’s most critical unclassified and classified networks by working directly with the CTIaaS-M2M team to build, integrate, and scale Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) sharing services. Leveraging Apache NiFi pipelines, multi-cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), and Kubernetes orchestration, you will enable secure machine-to-machine data flows using OASIS STIX and TAXII standards. You will write clean, effective code using Python, Java, and Bash to bridge disparate security systems and ensure seamless, automated threat data sharing across enterprise boundaries.

CTI Sharing Standards: Strong operational familiarity with OASIS STIX (Structured Threat Information eXpression) and TAXII (Trusted Automated eXchange of Intelligence Information) protocols.

Data Flow Enterprise Services: Deep understanding and practical experience building and optimizing data routing workflows using Apache NiFi.

Kubernetes Orchestration Containerization: High proficiency in packaging, deploying, orchestrating, and scaling containerized microservices within Kubernetes environments.

Multi-Cloud Expertise: Knowledge of Commercial Cloud Service Provider offerings and integration patterns across Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.

Polyglot Development Scripting: Strong working knowledge of Python, Java, and Bash scripting for service integration, API development, and task automation.

Complex System Integration: Demonstrated mastery in connecting disparate enterprise applications, M2M interfaces, and secure data sharing pipelines.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 14+ years of professional software development experience OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 18+ years of hands-on technical software engineering experience in lieu of a degree. , Desired Skills

• Automated CI/CD Workflows: Experience setting up continuous integration and deployment pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins) for containerized cloud applications.
• Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Domain Knowledge: Direct exposure to cyber defense operations, threat actor indicator ingestion, or Machine-to-Machine (M2M) CTI exchange platforms.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Familiarity using Terraform, Helm, or Ansible for automated infrastructure provisioning and deployment management.

The annual base salary range for this role is $189,000-$224,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package.
