Security Systems Technician - Traveling Repair & Installation in New York

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Security Systems Technician to join our team in Las Vegas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial electronic security systems. This role requires hands-on expertise with intrusion detection, CCTV/video surveillance, access control systems, and low-voltage wiring. The technician will travel to client locations throughout the region to perform site assessments, system installations, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance., * Install, configure, and commission electronic security systems, including intrusion alarms, CCTV, and access control systems
• Perform site surveys and assessments to determine optimal equipment placement and system design
• Diagnose and repair system malfunctions, including wiring issues, panel errors, and connectivity problems
• Pull and terminate low-voltage cabling for cameras, access readers, and control panels
• Mount and wire security components in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
• Program and test system functionality to meet client specifications and operational requirements
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and system upgrades
• Document all service activities, configurations, and repairs in a timely and accurate manner
• Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure satisfaction

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience installing and servicing commercial security systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of intrusion systems, access control, and CCTV/video surveillance technology
• Proven ability to pull cable, mount equipment, wire panels and head ends, and perform basic hookups
• Experience with low-voltage electrical systems and proper termination techniques
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple job sites
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation
• Must possess a complete, personal set of tools (hand tools, multimeter, cable cutters, etc.)
• Willingness and ability to travel overnight and work flexible schedules, * Industry certifications in security platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, CCURE, Honeywell, Bosch, or similar
• Experience with commercial security system design and implementation
• Background in low-voltage or electrical systems installation

Work Environment:

• On-site, client-facing role with frequent travel to commercial and industrial facilities
• Physical demands include lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in tight or confined spaces
• Work schedule may include evenings, weekends, and emergency response as needed
