Project Manager (Cybersecurity) in Chicago, IL

• Serve as the primary liaison between client, IBM, Cloud Range, OIT, academic leadership, and other project stakeholders.
• Coordinate implementation, onboarding, adoption, and operational readiness activities for the Cyber Range initiative.
• Develop project governance processes, status reporting, and recommendations for a sustainable operating model.
• Support alignment of technical implementation activities with Client’s academic, workforce development, and student success objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience managing complex technology implementation projects involving multiple stakeholders and vendors.
• Experience gathering business requirements, documenting workflows, and managing project plans, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience coordinating technology deployments, onboarding activities, and change management efforts.

Desired Certifications or Specialized Knowledge

• PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or comparable project management certification preferred.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity operations, Security Operations Centers (SOC), incident response, or cyber training environments.
• Experience supporting higher education, workforce development, or technology training initiatives preferred.
• Familiarity with cyber range platforms, Cloud Range, IBM Cyber Campus, or similar simulation-based learning environments preferred.
