Job description

Start your morning scanning SAP MRP exceptions, translating demand signals into clean, accurate purchase orders. You’ll line up confirmations with suppliers, expedite critical materials, and keep production flowing without a hitch. As the day unfolds, you’ll troubleshoot invoice and delivery discrepancies with Accounting/AP and vendors, maintain pristine data in SAP/ERP, and close the loop by reporting key procurement and inventory KPIs.

What you’ll handle

  • Convert approved requisitions into purchase orders via MRP and manage them end to end.
  • Create, place, confirm, and steward POs through delivery, expediting when needed.
  • Continuously monitor MRP to determine what to buy and the timing required for on-time supply.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal partners to resolve delivery, purchasing, and invoicing issues.
  • Track inventory positions; analyze backorders, cost variances, and supplier performance gaps.
  • Keep SAP/ERP purchasing and supply chain data current, clean, and actionable.
  • Produce and share key metrics on inventory health and procurement effectiveness.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Accounting/AP, and vendor contacts., * Stable, established manufacturer: plug into mature processes and a dependable operation.
  • Team-first environment: collaborate closely across departments and with suppliers.
  • Broaden your toolkit: exposure to procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of purchasing/buying experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
  • Hands-on SAP experience within purchasing/procurement, including MRP and confidence with T-codes.
  • Full-cycle purchasing know-how: PO creation, vendor confirmations, expediting, and issue resolution.
  • Clear communication, strong organization, collaborative mindset, and ownership of outcomes.
  • Comfort with Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Nice to have: 3+ years in a buying role, advanced Excel capability, experience sourcing materials/components from external suppliers, or prior contract/project work.

No degree required-practical Buyer experience and SAP proficiency take precedence., If you’re a hands-on Buyer fluent in SAP/MRP and ready to own results from day one, we’d love to meet you.
