| Junior Software Engineer (Top Secret Clearance) - Onsite | Albuquerque, NM or El Segundo, CA, Join a dynamic, mission-driven team as a Junior Software Engineer supporting mission-critical software applications in a secure, onsite environment. This contract-to-hire position offers hands-on experience across the software development lifecycle. Collaborate closely with senior engineers and technical leads while building innovative solutions that make a real impact. - Support the full software development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, and integration
- Collaborate with senior engineers and technical leads to deliver robust software solutions
- Participate actively in code reviews and technical discussions
- Create and integrate REST APIs and backend services
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues and defects
- Contribute to technical documentation and system deliverables
- Work effectively in Agile development environments
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
- 2-5 years of proven software development experience
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, Python, C, C++
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks
- Hands-on experience developing or consuming REST APIs
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design concepts
- Familiarity with Git or other source control tools
- Active Top Secret Clearance is required
Preferred Skills
- Experience with database technologies: MongoDB, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, NoSQL
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated pipelines
- Experience with software testing methodologies and unit testing
- Background in mission systems, space systems, satellite operations, or command-and-control environments
