Sr. Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support and modernize large-scale, mission-critical network infrastructures. This role focuses on advanced routing, switching, transport technologies, and service provider networking environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Juniper technologies, WAN architectures, network design, and operational support.

This is a remote position with approximately 25% travel to customer locations throughout the United States.

Responsibilities Design, deploy, and support large-scale network infrastructures. Develop implementation plans and assist with network modernization initiatives. Perform solution testing and validation for new network technologies. Serve as a technical point of contact for operational and engineering issues. Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network-related problems. Work with engineering and operations teams to maintain network reliability and performance. Conduct root cause analysis and provide detailed technical documentation. Support mission-critical networking environments and high-availability architectures. Participate in customer briefings, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing efforts. Assist with the adoption of automation technologies to improve operational efficiency.

Strong experience with Juniper networking technologies, particularly MX platforms., WAN architectures Experience supporting large-scale ISP, carrier, or enterprise network environments. Strong understanding of routing policies and traffic engineering concepts. Hands-on troubleshooting experience in production environments. Excellent communication and customer-facing skills. Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in fast-paced operational environments.

Preferred Skills Hierarchical IS-IS Segment Routing (SR-MPLS and SRv6) Juniper Routing Director MPLS Traffic Engineering GRE and VXLAN Network Automation and DevOps methodologies Python scripting Ansible, Playbooks, and Jinja2 templates NETCONF, REST APIs, XML APIs, and gRPC Juniper or other networking certifications, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience. Experience designing, deploying, and supporting medium-to-large-scale network environments.

Security Requirements Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph preferred. Candidates with an active TS clearance and strong technical qualifications may also be considered.
