• WAF, We are an advanced technology company in Bristol, with industry-leading products, at a crucial stage of growth and expecting to expand rapidly. This hands-on Infrastructure Systems Manager role is initially a team-of-one position with overarching responsibility for IT and infrastructure, and offers scope to grow as our company scales. The role is based predominantly in our Bristol office, with 3 to 4 days per week on site. Salary is up to £58,000, with a company bonus of up to 10%. • Able to work independently and take hands-on responsibility for IT infrastructure.
• Experienced in leading an IT function, making infrastructure decisions, and respectfully challenging unsuitable solutions.
• Current, up-to-date technical skills and the ability or experience to lead a team as the company grows.
• Experience with Windows environments, including Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender.
• Experience supporting laptops and desktops, software, and remote users.
• Experience managing physical infrastructure and cloud services.
• Networking experience, including Cisco or Meraki maintenance and support.
• Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, NTP, TCP/IP, disaster recovery and backups, security, IAM, and SSO.
• Experience with Cyber Essentials Plus and scripting with PowerShell or Bash.
• Linux experience is desirable.
