Job description

As a Frontend Software Engineer at Cognizant, you will work on modern digital products across frontend, backend, and mobile platforms. You will be part of a collaborative engineering team, contributing not only through code but also through technical decision-making and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement high-quality solutions across frontend, backend, and mobile projects
Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to automated testing
Participate in and influence technical and architectural decisions within the engineering team
Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and partners
Stay up to date with technology trends and actively participate in IT events such as hackathons, conferences, forums, and meetups
Work in a hybrid setup in the Amsterdam office

Requirements

Do you have experience in TypeScript?, * Strong expertise in at least one domain (frontend, backend, or mobile), with the willingness to work across multiple areas

Strong product mindset, with a clear focus on delivery, execution, and business value
Excellent coding skills in JavaScript and TypeScript
Solid knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
Experience with ReactJS frameworks and Node.js backends
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Good understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles
Experience integrating with REST APIs and cloud services
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, or OpenShift
Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Fluent in English
