Our client is a leading software organization focused on developing solutions that support complex engineering and infrastructure projects worldwide. The Design team is responsible for creating meaningful user experiences across products and platforms, with an emphasis on clarity, usability, and craftsmanship. This role sits within a centralized Product Design team that partners across multiple business areas, helping drive design excellence and elevate the user experience across a diverse product portfolio. As a Product Designer, you will play a key role in driving the end-to-end design process across multiple initiatives. You will quickly learn new domains, build strong cross-functional relationships, influence product direction, and deliver high-quality user experiences. You bring a balance of UX thinking and UI execution, leveraging AI-powered tools to enhance efficiency while relying on strong design judgment and user-centered decision making. You will also contribute to the

growth of the broader design team by providing thoughtful feedback, participating in critiques, and sharing best practices. Lead the design process across multiple concurrent initiatives, from research and problem definition through design execution and delivery. Help define and refine project briefs by identifying underlying user and business challenges. Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to influence product direction and drive better outcomes. Utilize AI tools to accelerate research synthesis, ideation, and prototyping while maintaining a high standard of design quality. Create visually polished, accessible, and user-centered interfaces aligned with established design system standards. Contribute to design case studies and documentation that demonstrate the impact of design decisions and outcomes. Support team growth through collaboration, constructive critique, mentoring, and knowledge sharing. 7+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, or UX/UI Design. Strong portfolio demonstrating both strategic thinking and exceptional design execution. Proven success working in complex, ambiguous environments where design influence is critical. Experience designing for technically sophisticated or domain-specific software products. Experience creating plugin and integration experiences within complex B2B software environments, including workflow design, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design. Ability to balance user needs, technical requirements, and platform constraints to create seamless experiences. Strong understanding of design quality and the ability to advocate for high standards. Practical experience incorporating AI-driven design tools into day-to-day workflows. Advanced proficiency with Figma and experience working within design systems. Collaborative, low-ego approach with a commitment to improving products, processes, and teams. This is a Contract position based out of Toronto, ON. The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. This is a fully remote position.
