DataCenter Engineer

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking an L3 Site Technician on behalf of our client in multiple locations across the United States. This role is ideal for hands-on technical professionals with experience in IT infrastructure, hardware deployment, and network troubleshooting. The successful candidate will support site operations in a mission-critical environment, ensuring reliable infrastructure performance, timely issue resolution, and compliance with established technical procedures. Key Responsibilities * Build, image, configure, and deploy hardware and IT equipment. * Troubleshoot hardware, peripheral, and network connectivity issues. * Perform Layer 1 and Layer 2 troubleshooting, including cabling, patching, and port diagnostics. * Support fiber-optic cabling, structured cabling, and rack-and-stack activities. * Execute routine technical procedures and change-management tasks. * Manage incident tickets, document resolutions, and escalate complex issues appropriately. * Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, data centers, field services, or technical support. * Experience with hardware deployment, imaging, configuration, and troubleshooting. * Understanding of Layer 1 and Layer 2 networking concepts. * Knowledge of structured cabling, patch panels, and fiber optics. * Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Linux command-line environments. * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to follow technical documentation and established procedures. * Flexibility to work assigned shifts in an on-site operational environment.

Preferred Qualifications * Experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities. * CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent practical experience. * Familiarity with ServiceNow or other IT ticketing platforms. * Experience with rack-and-stack deployments and enterprise infrastructure support.
