BI Engineer - Data Modelling (12 month FTC)

I’m currently representing my client, who is looking for a BI Engineer to support the development of data models, ETL processes and reporting solutions, working closely with analysts and developers to deliver high-quality BI solutions., * Develop and maintain ETL processes, data warehouses and SSAS cubes.

• Build and enhance data and semantic models, including advanced DAX calculations.
• Write and optimise SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Support testing, quality assurance, bug fixing and data validation.
• Troubleshoot data issues and support client queries.
• Collaborate with analysts and developers to deliver scalable, reliable BI solutions.

• Strong SQL Server and T-SQL development experience.
• Experience with SSAS multidimensional and Tabular models, including DAX.
• Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing and dimensional modelling.
• Familiarity with Azure data services and modern data platforms.
• Experience with data validation, testing and quality assurance.
• Understanding of established BI development standards and architectural patterns.

• Experience with Data Vault and Kimball modelling methodologies.
• Programming or scripting skills.
