Daily Responsibilities

• 40% Design, develop, and enhance Java-based applications
• 25% Build and maintain APIs, services, and integrations

• 10% Conduct testing, debugging, performance tuning, and application support

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with Java and object-oriented programming principles
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and related technologies
• Experience developing, testing, and deploying enterprise-scale applications
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and web services
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and Agile development practices
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance preferred
• Existing DHS clearance strongly preferred
• Experience with Angular, React, and/or TypeScript for front-end development
• Experience working in federal government or DHS environments
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with security-focused application development and secure coding standards
• Experience integrating front-end and back-end systems in enterprise environments
