Senior Mainframe Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Software Engineer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise applications within a large-scale technology environment. This individual will contribute to new development initiatives, system improvements, and modernization projects while ensuring the stability and performance of existing platforms.

The ideal candidate is a technically strong, self-sufficient developer who can navigate complex mainframe environments, troubleshoot challenging issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software solutions., * Design, develop, modify, and maintain enterprise mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.

• Build and enhance batch processing programs, online transactions, and database integrations.
• Contribute to application upgrades, platform improvements, and initiatives focused on improving existing technology systems.
• Investigate application defects, diagnose processing failures, and implement sustainable technical solutions.
• Work with technical and functional stakeholders to evaluate requirements and translate them into application enhancements.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, unit testing, and integration testing to maintain application reliability.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, data processing efficiency
