Applications Engineer, Software

What You’ll Do

• Identify, scope, and support development of new software systems, processes, tools, and features that improve Tesla’s fleet management

• Drive improvements in the commissioning process for Tesla Energy industrial products: workflows, tooling, and the software that runs them

• Work closely with software development teams to resolve any issues that arise during implementation

• Define, collect, and analyze success metrics and report on those metrics to a broad range of stakeholders

• Degree in relevant Engineering discipline with 3+ years’ work experience,or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability

• Experience building real-time software systems at scale

• Demonstrated application of analysis, design, and testing to solve complex engineering problems (e.g., troubleshooting REST APIs or IOT user interfaces)

• Exceptional ability to communicate across a wide range of cross-functional teams and stakeholders with competence and clarity

• Familiarity with industrial power systems

• A passion for sustainable energy

Expected Compensation $140,000 - $252,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
