Job description
- Analyze system specifications and translate requirements into technical solutions
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain complex mainframe application components
- Create detailed program specifications and technical documentation
- Perform unit/system testing, debug issues, and validate results using test data/files
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes and enhancements
- Coordinate and support application implementations and changes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and solution approach
Requirements
- Mainframe application development experience
- COBOL development
- JCL
- TSO/ISPF
- APS
- Endevor (NDVR)
- Systems testing, debugging, and production support for complex applications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Preferred Skills
- DB2
- IMS
- Experience supporting applications requiring time-sensitive production response
