Job description

We are looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Adult Skills Support Officer to join our Operations team on a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) basis.

The role is based at our Openshaw campus in Manchester.

You will play a key role in supporting learners from initial sign-up and induction through to completion, progression, and sustained destination, while ensuring records are accurate, compliant and audit ready.

Working closely with colleagues, employers, referral partners, and community organisations, you will coordinate course-start activity, maintain learner information, and help evidence the impact of our Adult Skills provision with travel across Greater Manchester.

This is a varied role suited to someone who can manage competing priorities, build effective relationships, and consistently deliver a responsive, right-first-time service.

Requirements

  • A good standard of general education, supported by strong literacy, numeracy, and digital skills, with practical experience of Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. The postholder must be able to use these systems confidently to maintain accurate learner records, coordinate activity, communicate with learners and stakeholders, monitor performance information, and produce clear operational documentation.

Benefits & conditions

  • 35 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays.
  • 3 wellbeing days (Includes birthday day off and Christmas eve off).
  • 3 days shutdown for Christmas.
  • Auto enrolment to a workplace pension scheme.
  • Retail Discounts.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Flexible working pattern - responsibility for planning your own interventions with learners (Adjust depending on role).
  • All equipment is provided to complete the role (Adjust depending on role).
