Job description

Promatica Digital is a healthcare software company whose platform integrates with GP clinical systems to bring primary-care data into our service. We’re expanding the range of systems we connect to and need an experienced .NET / C# developer with strong SQL Server skills to help us build and deliver new integrations with the Medicus and Vision GP systems, alongside our existing integrations.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role on a defined piece of work, with potential to extend beyond the initial 6 months. You’ll design, build, test and ship the integration and data-processing components that move and transform GP data reliably and securely.

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain integrations between our platform and GP clinical systems, extending our current capability to Medicus and Vision.
  • Develop and optimise data extract, transform and load (ETL) processes in C#/.NET and SQL Server hosted in Azure.
  • Consume and map data from external APIs/web services/files, handling different formats and data models.
  • Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and clear technical documentation.
  • Work closely with our existing developers and stakeholders to understand data requirements and reporting needs.
  • Ensure sensitive/patient data is handled securely and in line with information-governance requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET (.NET 8 / modern .NET).
  • Solid SQL Server skills: T-SQL, stored procedures, query performance and data modelling.
  • Experience building integrations with third-party systems (REST/SOAP APIs, web services) and transforming data between systems.
  • Good understanding of secure handling of sensitive data.
  • Able to work independently, own delivery and hit deadlines within a fixed-term engagement.

Desirable

  • Experience with GP clinical systems (Medicus, Vision, EMIS, TPP SystmOne) and NHS integration standards (IM1, GP Connect, HL7 / FHIR).
  • Microsoft Azure (Functions, App Service, Key Vault, Azure SQL).
  • Experience in a healthcare / NHS data environment and awareness of UK GDPR / NHS information governance (e.g. DSPT).
  • Version control (Git) and CI/CD.
