Job description

SOLIS Group is a growing Glasgow-based facilities management and mechanical services contractor. We look after commercial buildings, heating plant and heat network energy centres for public and private sector clients. We also run our own Asset Intelligence Centre, which monitors client plant rooms live, so our helpdesk often spots a fault before the client does.

We are looking for an organised, customer-focused Helpdesk Controller to be the first point of contact for our clients and the link between them and our engineers.

What you’ll be doing

  • Logging maintenance requests from phone, email and client portals
  • Prioritising and allocating reactive jobs to engineers and subcontractors
  • Managing engineer diaries and scheduling planned maintenance
  • Keeping clients updated from first call to job completion
  • Keeping records accurate in our CAFM system [system name]
  • Tracking performance against client SLAs and flagging risks early
  • Working with the operations team to keep jobs moving safely and efficiently

Requirements

  • Experience in a helpdesk, service desk, scheduling or customer service role
  • Clear, confident communication by phone and email
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. CAFM experience is a bonus, and full training is provided
  • The ability to juggle priorities and stay calm when the phones are busy
  • Strong attention to detail

Benefits & conditions

  • £28,000-£32,000 depending on experience
  • Monday-Friday, 8.00am-5.00pm, 40 hours per week
  • 28 days’ holiday increasing to 33
  • Free on-site parking at our Firhill Road office
  • Workplace pension
  • Full system training and a clear route to progress into planning, coordination or operations roles
  • A friendly, close-knit team with regular social events
  • An ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certified business, accredited with SafeContractor and Gas Safe

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Company events
  • Company pension
  • Free parking
  • On-site parking
