Senior System Engineer in Huntington

• 5+ years of IT experience, ideally within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT services environment. \n

• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and related Microsoft technologies. \n

• Experience managing virtualised environments using VMware or Hyper-V. \n

• Solid networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing and VPNs. \n

• Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls and network security solutions. \n

• Proven experience with infrastructure projects, server migrations and backup/recovery solutions. \n

• Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, networking and cloud environments. \n

• Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with clients. \n

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and mentor less experienced engineers.

• Design, implement and support IT infrastructure across multiple client environments. \n

• Manage Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Azure. \n

• Deploy, maintain and troubleshoot virtualisation platforms such as VMware vSphere and Hyper-V. \n

• Support networking infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, wireless networks and VPNs. \n

• Lead infrastructure projects, including server migrations, system upgrades, backup solutions and disaster recovery. \n

• Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues, providing guidance and mentorship to other engineers. \n

• Work directly with clients to understand their requirements, recommend solutions and improve existing environments. \n

• Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure projects are delivered effectively. \n

• Exposure to Azure, AWS, Fortinet or relevant technical certifications would be advantageous. \n
