Job description

Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other reporting platforms to visualize key metrics and trends.
Design and implement scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure accurate data integration from diverse sources like SQL databases, Oracle, Talend, and Linked data environments.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze needs, and translate them into technical specifications for data models and analytics solutions.
Conduct comprehensive analysis using Excel data analysis techniques, R programming, Python scripting, and other analytics tools to uncover insights that support strategic decision-making.
Manage SQL query development and optimization within Microsoft SQL Server or other SQL databases to facilitate efficient data retrieval and reporting.
Participate in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) analysis to ensure robust deployment of analytics solutions aligned with organizational standards.
Design intuitive dashboards and visualizations that enhance understanding of complex datasets while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Support database design efforts by creating logical data models using Visio or similar tools to improve data architecture and accessibility.
Engage in project management activities within Agile frameworks to deliver analytics projects on time and meet evolving business needs.
Maintain technical proficiency by staying current with advancements in business intelligence platforms, data visualization techniques, and analytics methodologies.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Senior Data Analyst with a strong portfolio of dashboard development and reporting projects.
Expertise in Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar visualization tools for creating compelling dashboards.
Proficiency in SQL programming for query management within SQL Server or Oracle databases; experience with query optimization is a plus.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Talend or custom scripting in Bash (Unix shell) for data pipeline automation.
Strong knowledge of database design principles and experience working with SQL databases like Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
Familiarity with programming languages such as R and Python for advanced analytics tasks including statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
Understanding of SDLC processes to support software development lifecycle analysis for analytics solutions deployment.
Ability to analyze large datasets using Excel data analysis techniques combined with VBA scripting for automation tasks.
Experience working within Agile project management frameworks to deliver timely insights aligned with business priorities.
Excellent communication skills for requirements analysis, stakeholder engagement, and presenting complex findings clearly.
Knowledge of linked data concepts and experience integrating disparate data sources for comprehensive analysis is desirable.
