Job description
We are seeking a hands-on, technically skilled Systems Engineer for a new dual-mandate role based on-site in Houston, Texas. - Administer Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP), Microsoft 365, and Entra ID, including user accounts, access controls, and permissions.
- Troubleshoot workstations, laptops, printers, VoIP phones, and mobile devices.
- Maintain corporate infrastructure across our Denver and Houston datacenters: Hyper-V, backup and replication, firewalls, switching, wireless, VPN, and site-to-site connectivity.
- Handle onboarding and offboarding, IT inventory, and hardware lifecycle tracking.

- Support network segmentation between guest, back-office, and payment environments per property and brand standards.
- Resolve connectivity issues for property business systems - PMS, point-of-sale, key card and lock systems, cameras, printers - working with brand and vendor support teams.
- Work remotely with on-property staff and dispatched field technicians who may have limited technical background.
- Meet contracted service levels, maintaining accurate ticket status, time entry, and resolution notes.
- Escalate to senior engineering, carriers, and third-party vendors, and own issues through to closure.
- Support onboarding of new properties: document existing topology, validate configurations against standards, and identify remediation work.
Shared Responsibilities:
- Write and maintain documentation, runbooks, network diagrams, and knowledge base articles for internal and property environments.
- Work incidents and service requests through our ticketing system with clear, timely documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and third-party providers on issues, warranties, and procurement.
