IT Operations Manager

Iron Van Tech is looking for an IT Operations Manager in Brownsville, TX to oversee day-to-day IT operations, improve technical processes and help keep business systems reliable and secure.

This is a hands-on IT management role covering infrastructure, user support, systems, vendors and operational processes. You’ll work with technical teams and business users to resolve issues, manage priorities and improve the technology environment as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily IT operations, support activities and technical priorities
• Manage and coordinate IT support requests, incidents and escalations
• Monitor the performance and availability of business systems and infrastructure
• Support Windows systems, networks, servers, applications and workplace technology
• Manage user accounts, access permissions and onboarding or offboarding processes
• Coordinate system updates, software deployments and technology upgrades
• Maintain IT assets, hardware, software licenses and equipment records
• Work with vendors and technology service providers on support and technical issues
• Help maintain IT security, access controls and basic cybersecurity practices
• Monitor recurring technical problems and identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop and maintain IT procedures, documentation and support standards
• Track IT projects, maintenance activities and operational requirements
• Support backup, recovery and business continuity processes
• Prepare IT operations reports and communicate issues to management
• Help manage IT budgets, purchasing and technology-related expenses
• Lead process improvements that increase reliability, efficiency and user satisfaction, The IT Operations Manager will play an important role in keeping Iron Van Tech’s technology environment organized, reliable and ready to support the business. • 3+ years of experience in IT operations, IT management, systems administration or a related field
• Experience managing or coordinating IT support and technical operations
• Strong understanding of Windows environments, hardware and business applications
• Working knowledge of networking, Wi-Fi, VPNs and basic infrastructure
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and user administration
• Experience with Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID is a plus
• Understanding of IT security, access management and endpoint protection
• Experience working with ticketing or IT service management systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Good understanding of IT asset and vendor management
• Ability to prioritize multiple technical issues and projects
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
• Organized approach to documentation, reporting and operational planning
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is helpful
• ITIL, CompTIA, Microsoft or similar certifications are a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field is preferred, If you have experience managing IT operations, supporting users and coordinating technology systems, apply with your resume.
