MSP Senior Systems Engineer (Remote)

Serve as the senior escalation point for help desk tickets that the front line cannot resolve

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across networking, servers, endpoints, and cloud environments

Lead and support client project work, including migrations, deployments, and infrastructure upgrades

Apply security best practices in everything you build and maintain, and recognize when something looks wrong

Document your work clearly so the rest of the team can pick it up

Communicate directly with clients in a way that builds trust and explains technical problems in plain language

If you are an experienced MSP engineer who is tired of commuting to an office to do work you could do just as easily from home, and you want to join a small team where people actually talk to and help each other, then this is worth a look., * Minimum seven (7) years of professional IT experience

• At least three (3) of those years working for a managed service provider (MSP).
• Strong working knowledge of networking, including firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching
• Solid experience administering Windows Server and Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, and endpoint management
• Good understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals. You do not need to be a specialist, but you should understand identity, access control, endpoint protection, patching, and why they matter. If you understand (and can explain) the CIA triad easiliy, and how they differ, then you’ve already got a leg up.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and managing your own time
• Clear written and verbal communication

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience supporting clients in regulated industries
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as CMMC, NIST 800-171, GLBA/FTC Safeguards Rule
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, ISC2, ISACA
• Experienced with RMM and PSA platforms, * MSP Support: 2 years (Required)
